Grant Barnett, MOst
General and Paediatric Osteopath
Grant is passionate about supporting his patients in reaching their health goals and enjoys working with a diversity of patients in all age groups including babies. As an osteopath he mainly treats patients for aches, pains and injuries, which can be caused by a variety of reasons such as work, life, sports or pregnancy.
Within his osteopathic treatments, he combines a variety of approaches which are carefully tailored to support a patient’s unique needs. In addition to gentle hands-on osteopathic treatment, Grant believes in supporting and empowering his patients through education. To this end, during sessions he also offers advice and support on ergonomics, lifestyle, exercise and movement that patients can do in their own time so that they can also lead on their wellness journey.
Grant’s path to osteopathy arrived later in life. He studied Sports Administration/Science and played a competitive level of rugby and cricket while at university. He travelled widely and lived in several countries working in various roles in the commercial and not-for-profit sector. All of this provided him with a unique perspective on how stress impacts the mind and body, and how the mind and body can sometimes work together for the better - but also, every so often, how they don’t and how this can show up in our bodies in different ways.
Grant is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (10299) and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
